The knight walked slowly underneath the golden moon.
They followed the constellations, knowing it would guide them to where they needed to go.
However, they failed to consider that the moon was full, and beasts would begin to stalk the underbrush.
And it wasn't long before knight and steed were surrounded by hungry lycaons.
Drool dripped from their mouths as they snarled with teeth bared.
The clever knight thought of a way for both of them to escape, but it made their heart very heavy.
They slowly dismounted their steed and looked into its crocodilian eyes.
They would explain that they would run left, whilst it shall run right until it reached Chrysus.
With some hestitation the two would part ways, rider and mare running as fast as their legs would carry them in opposite directions.
Thus, the tired knight would continue the rest of their journey on foot.
